VZW Jeugdcentrum Den Eglantier is a youth centre located at the Sint-Nicolaasplein in Sint-Niklaas.
It’s a place where young people can network and make social contacts. During the week they offer an afternoon party where young people can get together in a pleasant atmosphere between 12h and 14h.
Variations of the logo
The pillars of the youth centre Den Eglantier are:
1. A place where young people can network and make social contacts
2. Organizing activities and/or expos
3. Concerts
These pillars are each given their own symbol, representing a modern coat of arms with a reference to the pillars of the youth centre.
For each pillar, the symbol can be highlighted. Depending on what is organized, the appropriate symbol will be brought to the foreground.
The High five refers to the meeting place, the Venus of Milo to expos and the Rock on symbol to concerts.

Eglantier means Rederijkerskamer. Rederijkers were amateur poets and recitation artists, who started organizing themselves into associations ever since the late Middle Ages. The blazon (= coat of arms) consisted of a hedgehog rose ( = Wild Rose - symbol of love).
In addition to a name, each room also has a motto or spell with a certain meaning: the motto. A number of the old Chambers still exist today and still hold the same motto. We have transposed this historical name to the present time. We kept the shape of the coat of arms but made a modern version of it.
By taking over the contours and giving it a playful interpretation, we get a graphic image with more life, action, ... in it. We also wanted to create a look that was youthful, active but simple, recognizable, timeless and flexible.
